Join Cryptic Council Companions from across Minnesota for the 2025 Grand Cryptic Council of Minnesota One Day to Cryptic Council Festival on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The One Day to Cryptic Council Festivals in 2023 and 2024 were tremendous successes. And 2025 promises to be even better. The annual Festival is a memorable opportunity for Companions to engage in our gentle craft and welcome new Candidates as they continue their journey in York Rite Masonry.
The Cryptic Council Degrees on February 22nd will be presented in full form by Companions and Councils from across Minnesota. This will be a full presentation of the moving and compelling Council Degrees with no abbreviations or short cuts. As with the Royal Arch Degrees, the Council Degrees explore the history, stories and legends that were hinted at but not discussed in the Degrees of our Blue Lodge. The significance of the Cryptic Council Degrees is further highlighted when we are reminded that the order in which events happen is seldom the order in which we learn about them in our Masonic Degrees.
The exciting Degree work will be presented at the Minneapolis Scottish Rite Masonic Center located at 2011 Dupont Avenue South in Minneapolis and is hosted by Minneapolis Council #2 Cryptic Masons and the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons in Minnesota.
If you are a Companion in Cryptic Council, set aside Saturday, February 22nd and join your fellow Companions and our candidates for an exciting day of fellowship in our gentle craft of Freemasonry.
If you are a Royal Arch Mason and wish to continue your journey in York Rite Masonry, reach out to a Companion of the Cryptic Council and he can get you started with a petition join to a Council. You must submit a petition to a Cryptic Council before you can attend the One Day event on Feb 22nd. The closing date for petitions varies depending upon the Council you wish to join, so act now!!
The event starts with check-in at 8:30AM on February 22nd. The schedule for the day includes:
8:30AM – Candidate and Companion Check-in begins at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center.
9:30 AM – Official Council Opening by Minneapolis Council #2 Cryptic Masons
9:30AM – Candidate Education Session begins in the Education Room
10:00AM – Royal Master Degree
11:15AM – Select Master Degree
12:15PM – Lunch – Preregistration for lunch is required.
1:30PM – Super Excellent Master Degree.
ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for all Candidates and Companions attending the event. A lunch option is available via the registration page if attendees desire to enjoy lunch with other Companions and Candidates. If you do not register on line you will have to wait until all who have registered on line to be served and then you will served if there is enough extra food prepared.
The cost for lunch / credit card fee / morning donuts and coffee is $19.00 per person. Payment is available via credit card on the registration web site or $20.00 at the door in cash or personal check. (Candidates, your registration is completed by your Council Recorder in advance of the event and the lunch cost is typically paid by your Council. Check with your Council Sponsor or your Council Recorder).
A large crowd of Companions and Candidates is anticipated, and parking is limited at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center. Carpooling is encouraged. The suggested attire for Companions and Candidates is a coat and a tie.
